Welcome
Centralia is the 2nd largest city in Boone County, after the county seat of Columbia. Centralia has a population of 4,000 and is nestled in Northern Boone County, right along the Audrain County line. We have 4 city parks, 4 schools, a large summer festival and great citizens.

Welcome to Centralia: an excellent place to live and work. I have lived in Centralia since the beginning of 1997 and my lovely wife, Cheri, was raised here. This dynamic community situated in Northern Boone County is home to Hubbell Power Systems, formerly known as A.B. Chance Co. There is a rich history in Centralia and the surrounding area. Centralia boasts the renovated Centralia Massacre site near the center of town along with many shops and restaurants. Another awesome experience is the Chance Gardens and Museum. Additionally, we have several City parks available for family gatherings or company outings. Our new state-of-the-art Recreation Center and the new Centralia Intermediate School make Centralia a friendly environment for economic development opportunities. Contact City Hall or the Centralia Chamber of Commerce with questions.

Support Centralia's local businesses by keeping your dollars local! Dollars spent locally have three times the impact on the local economy as dollars spent at national chains. When shopping locally, you simultaneously create jobs, fund more city services through sales tax, invest in neighborhood improvement and promote community development. |
