City Seeking Applications for City Administrator

The City of Centralia, Missouri is seeking a proven community leader to serve as our next City Administrator.  Centralia is a community of approximately 4,200 people in the northeast corner of Boone County, 25 minutes from Columbia.  Centralia is home to Hubbell Power Systems, the largest manufacturer in Boone County, two national railroads, a short line spur to Columbia, and city electric, water and sewer utilities.  There is a deep-rooted pride in the community of Centralia which can be seen in its school system, the efforts to preserve its history, the parks system and many other ways. The last Administrator left for a new job after almost 4 years and his predecessor retired after 29 years.  The General Fund is approximately $1.9 million and the entire city budget for FY2019 is approximately $8.5 million.

How to Apply

The successful candidate should have at least five years of experience in city management as an assistant or department head in a larger city or as an administrator/manager in a similar sized city.  An MPA or advanced degreed is strongly preferred.  Salary is DOQ.
